Dupa o cariera de succes in domeniul constructiilor de masini de viteza si de motoare, Clay si-a orientat atentia si talentul catre hot rod. Proiectul sau, 1934 Ford Pickup, a fost un succes deplin, care l-a facut sa redescopere atractia pentru motociclete si a inceput sa construiasca BSA-ul negru, unde iese in evidenta stilul lui: mare atentie la detalii, la liniile continue, eleganta si simplicitate. Reusita acestui proiect l-a facut sa infiinteze Atom Bomb Custom Motorcycles in 2008, unde colaboreaza cu o figura cunoscuta in lumea hot rod, Chris Mizak, un artist de elita care este si fondatorul trupei Switchblade Suckerpunch.
