DK Motorrad Sportster kit from Switzerland

I wanted to send you over some shots of my latest project. Its a cafe racer designed by me here in Switzerland to be a bolt on kit for 2006 and up Sportster. The company that mass produces the parts for me is called MAS Engineering in in Italy. The kit consist of the Tank, Seat, Exhaust, Front Fender, Pinion Cover, Belt Cover, Handle Bars. Everything is made from high quality Aluminum. The kit is sold through my online shop dkmotorrad.bigcartel.com for now. Thanks!

“Where others see trash we see treasure. We wanted a cafe sporty on the cheap so we set about finding a crashed bike we could build as budget-minded as possible. We started with the bars or lack of them, by adding clip ons, removed all the junk on top of the triples, and prototyped a cool instrument cluster and headlight relocation piece that moves the headlight and gauges down. We also prototyped a key and coil relocation piece to get rid of all the plastic under the gas tank. We then threw on her all the RSD product we had, fixed the tank, chopped the rear fender and painted her on the cheap. For under 10K we brought her back to life and she’s better than ever.”

David’s bike from Toulouse

The frame is an 1952 Hydra with a vintage Springer fork. Meanwhile the engine is an Evolution 2 cosmeticly improved, looking like a Panhead. Front brake is a smart cover of a disk brake looking like a vintage drum brake. The back tyre has been replaced by an Avon Drag slick since these pictures were done, so was the handle bar which is now a flat bar. David wants his machine to be in constant evolution.
